Day 211, September 29, 2010

Did you know that today is National Coffee Day? Might I suggest you celebrate with one of these?

Tuesday, September 28, 2010

Day 210, September 28, 2010

I'm sure this plate is a religious reference. However, my father likes to pretend he speaks Spanish, but the only actual Spanish word he knows is arroz, which means corn. So when I saw this plate, I thought, "He corn? That's odd."

Day 209, September 27, 2010

Apparently, bunnyhop can refer to various things, from a bike move to a type of dance. All I know for sure is, it's a rainy Monday, so anything that brings cute furry bunnies to my mind is welcome.

Sunday, September 26, 2010

Day 208, September 26, 2010

I'm assuming this plate belongs to a chiroprator, but considering tomorrow is Monday and back to the daily grind, I could probably use an attitude adjustment too.

Saturday, September 25, 2010

Day 207, September 25, 2010

Technically this is a boat, not a car, but I figure we could all use a latin flavor in our lives.

Friday, September 24, 2010

Day 206, September 24, 2010

I guess a tiny hug is better than no hug at all.

Thursday, September 23, 2010

Day 205, September 23, 2010

Well, good for you. You're in better shape than I am.

Wednesday, September 22, 2010

Day 204, September 22, 2010

Now that True Blood's season has ended, there is only one thing I can say about it:

I miss you already.

Tuesday, September 21, 2010

Day 203, September 21, 2010

Props for being polite. Driving in Northern Virginia makes me more inclined to take this approach.

Monday, September 20, 2010

Day 202, September 20, 2010

This plate resulted in one of those moments wherein I realize the plate probably means something totally different than what I first thought, and that what I first thought says a lot about my personality.

It was on a very large truck, and I thought, "funny how that big truck's plate is an ode to press-on nails." Then I realized it could be about pressing on, as in perseverance, as in, a quality exhibited by someone whose thoughts don't automatically jump to cosmetics.

In other news, I'm expecting a package from Sephora in the mail today.

Day 201, September 19, 2010

Tomorrow is Monday.

Yup, the weekend does fly by just like that, doesn't it?

Friday, September 17, 2010

Thursday, September 16, 2010

Day 198, September 16, 2010

Ok. I'm down for some role playing.

Wednesday, September 15, 2010

Day 197, September 15, 2010

Honestly, this confuses me.

If they're heroes, how can they be bad? Or is this some kind of grand statment about worshippping false idols or something? I don't know. I definitely feel like I'm missing something here.

Tuesday, September 14, 2010

Monday, September 13, 2010

Day 195, September 13, 2010

I hear the Redskins won their season opener last night. I don't really care about football, but I believe in rooting for your home team, so Go Redskins!

So is it looking then like this guy was a good addition?

Sunday, September 12, 2010

Day 194, September 12, 2010

Back to Back to School Week. To the man or woman in charge:

Saturday, September 11, 2010

Day 193, September 11, 2010

Not only am I a crap daughter for scheduling a theme week this week, I'm also a crap American, because I didn't look far ahead enough to realize this week was also the 9th anniversary of 9/11. That clearly trumps back to school week.

Never forget.

Friday, September 10, 2010

Day 192, September 10, 2010

Umm, okay. I didn't think it rocked, but I probably would have been a much better student if I did.

Thursday, September 9, 2010

Day 191, September 9, 2010

So I guess I'm kind of a crap daughter because I made this week "Back to School" week, not thinking about the fact that today is my mother's birthday and I should put up a license plate that would have special meaning for her. Although in my defense, she is a university professor, so she's back to school now...and...yeah.

Anyways, my mother LOVES the film The Wizard of Oz, and when I say loves, I mean, is obsessed with, has mutliple collectible items relating to, etc. So on your birthday, Mom, here's a plate just for you:

If only you could, right?

Wednesday, September 8, 2010

Day 190, September 8, 2010

Ah, the study of bugs. The kid who excels at that is usually real popular in school.

Tuesday, September 7, 2010

Day 189, September 7, 2010

Good spelling is an excellent skill to have in school, especially for in-class writing assignments. Teachers love an excuse to use those red pens.

I think this is funny. Your teacher won't.

Monday, September 6, 2010

Day 188, September 6, 2010

Today is the last day of summer vacation, which means it's also time to get last minute back to school shopping done. Don't forget one of these:

You can use it to help countdown your dwindling hours of freedom, kids.

Theme Week!

Whether or you're a kid dreading the end of your summer freedom, a parent eagerly awaiting getting the kids out of your hair, or a commuter likely to see an increase in traffic this week, the end of summer vacation will have an impact on you. And so this week's theme is

Back to School Week!!

Sunday, September 5, 2010

Saturday, September 4, 2010

Day 186, September 4, 2010

They do call them the dog days of summer.

Friday, September 3, 2010

Day 185, September 3, 2010

Ah, Labor Day Weekend. 3 day weekends are always good times, and even though this particular one heralds the end of summer and a return to school and chilly weather, it does have at least one thing to offer.

God I love sales.

Thursday, September 2, 2010

Day 184, September 2, 2010

I really have no idea what this means. Is it some kind of slang all the cool kids use nowadays?

I will say though that the "cat" and "slap" combo for some reason makes me think of catty girl fights, and this being 9/02/10 Day, that seems fitting.

It's a stretch, I know. Obviously there is a serious dearth of 90120 themed plates in Virginia.

Wednesday, September 1, 2010

Day 183, September 1, 2010

Well, if you're going to take this guy's advice, I suggest you do it soon, because summer is almost over. Not too much time for top-dropping left.
